‘Best Practices in Academic Libraries: Issues and Challenges’

Sir/madam,
On behalf of the fraternity of D K D College we would like to take the privilege to inform you that a UGC sponsored National Seminar on “Best Practices in Academic Libraries: Issues and Challenges” organized by D K D College Library on 26th ,27th August’2013
          You are cordially invited to submit a paper relating to the following sub themes. The full paper should not exceed 2000 words along with an abstract (200 words) and send it to Dr Jnyandeep Saikia, Librarian, D K D College, Dergaon through Mail Id-

Call for Papers and Guidelines for Contributors:
                The seminar is inter-disciplinary in nature. The scholars, researchers, academicians are invited to submit their original research works in the form of Research Papers. Only Electronic versions of the paper are accepted.
Abstract:
        The Abstract typed in MS Word Times New Roman (12pt.) , 1.5 spacing on A4 size paper in 200 words should include  the title of the paper (bold, justify), author(s)  name (italics, align text left), mailing address, telephone No, e-mail address (align text left), name of corresponding author(*). The name of the main author should be underlined.
Full length paper:
          The full length research paper not exceeding 2000 words in MS Word (Times New Roman 12pt.), 1.5 spacing on A4 paper may also be sent along with the abstract for publication in the seminar proceeding  in the following order : Title, Author Address, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Material and Methods/Survey, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement and Reference.
Review of Abstract and Research Papers:
          The submitted abstracts and the full length research paper will be reviewed by the Review committee and acceptance for the same will be communicated to the corresponding author through e-mail at an early date. The Souvenir with the abstracts submitted will be released on opening day of the session.
Publication of Seminar Proceeding:
          The proceeding volume of selected research paper will be published in a book format by a reputed ISBN/ISSN publisher. The volume will be a pre-seminar proceeding. The organizing
Secretary reserves the right not to issue certificate and proceeding without presenting the paper in the seminar.
Registration Fees:
                    1. Participants with paper: Rs. 700/-
                   2. Research Scholars: Rs. 500/
3. Participants without paper: Rs. 300/-
Accommodation:
          On request, facilities for accommodation will be provided for outstation participants. No T.A. / D.A. will be provided except the invited resource persons and participants from other state. For accommodation, one can contact organizing Secretary and Asst. Organizing Secretary of the seminar well in advance.
